Swedish outfit Hexatronic is supplying fibre optic submarine cable to the 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm off the UK’s south coast.
The company said it is delivering 17.5km of its double armoured 96 fibre optic cable to the project.
Rampion will consist of 116 MHI Vestas 3.45MW turbines and is scheduled to be complete in 2018.
Eon, the Green Investment Bank and Canadian energy company Enbridge are investors in Rampion.
