UK outfit Tekmar Energy has been selected by VBMS to supply 130 of its cable protection systems to Eon and Statoil’s 385MW Arkona wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Tekmare will manufacture the systems for the electrical offshore substation at a new production facility in northeast England.
Manufacturing is expected to be completed late this year ahead of installation in 2018.
The contract marks the 15th time that Tekmar and VBMS have worked together.
