A consortium comprising Lighthouse Infrastructure and DIF has bought the 100MW Clare solar plant in the Australian state of Queensland, for an undisclosed sum.
The plant near Ayr in state’s north was the first large-scale solar project in Australia to obtain funding without government subsidies. It has been sold to the infrastructure investment managers by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures.
The project is still under construction and due for completion later this year.
Australian power retailer Origin Energy last year agreed to buy all of the plant’s electricity and renewable energy certificates.
