MHI Vestas has contracted Canadian company Bridgemans Services Group to provide floating accommodation at an unnamed offshore wind project in Belgium.
The floating accommodation company has sent its recently refurbished 142-metre accommodation vessel MV Bluefort to the project.
BSG acquired the MV Bluefort in 2015 and fitted it out with a CTV boat landing and helicopter pad to facilitate crew transfers last year.
It arrived off the coast of Belgium earlier this month and will now house up to 210 technicians working to commission turbines between now and October.
“To have been selected by a global leader in wind energy represents a meaningful endorsement of our capabilities, our assets and all members of the Bridgemans team,” said BSG president Brian Grange.
