Donald Trump is likely to pull the US out of the Paris Accord, according to widespread media reports citing administration officials.
The president, who has previously described climate change as “hoax”, said at a G7 summit over the weekend that he would make a decision on America’s participation this week.
Adopted by 195 countries in December 2015, the agreement sets out a plan to limit global warming to well below 2°C, above pre-industrial levels.
