South Korea’s Serveone has ordered six Vestas turbines for what will be the developer’s first wind power project in the East Asian economy.
The deal brings to 18 the number of markets that have have placed firm orders for the Danish manufacturer’s V126-3.45 MW machines, Vestas said.
The 21MW order includes the supply and supervision of installation and a a 10-year output management contract guaranteeing availability and performance.
“Vestas has been present in South Korea for more than 20 years and we are proud of our contribution to the Korean government’s goal of reducing carbon emissions through reliable clean power,” Vestas Asia-Pacific president Clive Turton said.
