The UK arm of Dutch utility Eneco has bought a combined 7.5MW portfolio of operational solar PV rooftop projects in Yorkshire from Ireland’s Kingspan Energy.
The portfolio is split between two sites, including Sherburn, which has the largest roof refurbishment and rooftop solar PV project in the UK, at 5MW.
The remaining 2.5MW of generation capacity is located in Doncaster (pictured).
The deal adds to Eneco’s UK renewable portfolio, which includes the 10MW Sevor and 5MW Oaklands solar farms in England and five Scottish wind farms with combined capacity of 200MW.
It also expands a commercial relationship between Eneco and Kingspan, which already involves two projects underway in the Netherlands.
