Regulators in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) have given consent to the Rye Park wind farm.
The NSW planning assessment commission said approval had been granted, subject to conditions.
The commission recommended removing eight of the proposed turbines that it said would have “moderate-high visual impacts on residencies” in Rye Park village.
The removal of the turbines would mitigate some negative impacts, which would also be outweighed by the “broader public benefit” of the project.
A total of 92 turbines have been approved for the project.
