New Energy Solar (NES) and Starbucks Corp have invested in a near complete 47MW solar farm in Maxton, North Carolina, developed by VivoPower International.
An affiliate of VivoPower has retained a minority interest in the project and will provide management services to the solar farm.
VivoPower chief executive officer Philip Comberg said: “We are pleased to have completed the construction and transfer of the project to NES.
“Additionally, the company is excited to bring Starbucks into the project, and looks forward to future opportunities to work together in furthering Starbucks’ impressive sustainability initiatives.”
