The Port of Esbjerg says Seajacks jack-up Scylla has left the port with the last turbine components for the 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Scylla and Fred Olsen Windcarrier jack-up Bold Tern are carrying out the installation work for the project, which will consist of 67 Siemens 6MW 154 turbines.
Veja Mate delivered first power in January, two months ahead of schedule, and is expected to be fully operational before the end of the year.
The shareholders in the wind farm are Highland Group, Siemens Financial Services and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
