Transmission system operator (TSO) TenneT has unveiled new draft rules for offshore grid connections in Germany.
The TSO’s aim is to harmonise new European rules with existing technical regulations in Germany.
The new rules include the Requirements for Generators, as well as the High Voltages Direct Current Connection Code published last year.
TenneT said the rules take into account lessons learnt, such as relating to harmonics issues at the BorWin1 grid hub.
The TSO will now consult on the draft rules and plans to hold a stakeholder workshop later this year.
