The EU is investigating GE’s €1.5bn takeover of LM Wind Power, which was completed in April.
Bloomberg reports that EU officials are looking into whether or not GE provided misleading information during the review of the deal, citing “two people familiar with the GE case” as sources.
The news agency story said the EU is examining whether GE did have plans for a new giant wind turbine, having said that it didn’t during the merger appraisal.
The deal was first announced in October and brought blade design and manufacturing in house for GE.
