LM Wind Power is setting up a fourth blade factory in China.
The new facility will be located in the Baodi district in the northeast of China, 40km from the company’s existing plant in Tianjin.
LM Wind Power expects to create 500 jobs and start production in July.
The company said recruitment for the Baodi facility has started, as well as training for the new staff.
LM Wind Power also has factories in Qin Huang Dao and Jiangyin and offices in Beijing and Shanghai. It has 15 factories worldwide.
LM Wind Power chief executive Marc de Jong said: “The Baodi site is a great location for serving our local and global customers in China, with close proximity to the highway and only 50km to the Tianjin Port.”
