The French energy regulator has lined up 10 bidders for the up to 750MW Dunkirk offshore wind farm.
Local French media reports that the country’s energy watchdog CRE has preselected Belgian company Elicio, Iberdrola and RES, Statoil, Vattenfall, InControl, Parkwind and Valeco, Deme Concessions Wind, Boralex and CMI5i Pastor, EDF Energies Nouvelles in collaboration with Innogy and Enbridge and an Engie and EDPR consortium for the Round 3 project.
The next stage of the process is the so-called competitive dialogue, which will pin down the exact bidding conditions for the project.
The successful bidder will be announced early next year and Dunkirk is scheduled to be up and running in 2022.
