German company SeaRenergy is offering vessel inspection to the offshore wind sector under the Common Marine Inspection Documents (CMID) standard.
CMID provides a standard format for the inspection of offshore vessels and is used to help promote safety and efficiency and will be carried out by the company’s inhouse CMID accredited vessel inspector.
“The aim of the CMID is to provide a measure for vessel safety and environmental assurance, safety of personnel, and protection of the environment,” SeaRenergy said.
It added that for the operator CMID may help to reduce the number of third party repeat inspections on individual vessels by providing a consistent, transferrable format.
