Norway’s Seaproof Solutions has been selected to supply Jan De Nul with export cable protection systems for the 450MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 and 200MW Borkum West 2.2 projects in the German North Sea.
The contract covers the design and supply of protection systems connecting the projects to their respective converter platforms.
Seaproof said its systems can handle physical interface to foundations in different environmental conditions, possessing a minimum guaranteed design life of 30 years.
Both of the offshore wind projects are expected to be completed in 2019.
