Enercon has erected wind turbines totalling 3GW in France, following the installation of seven machines at the 16.1MW Bois de Merdelou project in the Aveyron region.
The German manufacturer installed E-70/2.3MW hardware on steel towers with hub heights of 64 metres for Valeco’s Bois de Merdelou wind farm.
Enercon director France Peter Schuster said: “The 3GW mark is an important intermediate objective for us in the implementation of the energy transition in France.
“We will continue down this path and further intensify our activities in France in the future. Our aim is to get to the 4GW mark.”
