Norwegian services group Imenco has beefed up its product offering for the renewable energy sector following a prolonged downturn in the oil industry
In the past five months, the company’s Aberdeen-based UK arm has started actively marketing products, including subsea cameras, cathodic corrosion protection systems and helicopter fueling packages lighter than ones used in the oil and gas sector.
Imenco and partners are also launching the world’s first “high-torque, low-speed” digital motor, which the company claims offers double the power and can be controlled by a high-speed Ethernet connection.
Imenco representatives will be at the Offshore Wind Energy 2017 conference in London on June 6-8 at both the Scottish Development International and Norwegian Innovation stands.
