Wave Hub has appointed Madeline Cowley as project manager to lead on the company’s activities in Wales.
Cowley will support the development of Wave Hub’s Pembrokeshire Demonstration Zone including the feasibility study awarded last week to Black & Veatch.
The feasibility study starts this month and the findings will be known early in 2018.
Cowley is based at Wave Hub’s new office in Pier House, Pembroke Dock.
Wave Hub director Claire Gibson said: “Madeline brings a wealth of experience in developing renewable energy projects, having worked in this area for the past 10 years.”
The proposed Pembrokeshire Demonstration Zone comprises a 90 sq km area of seabed located between 13-21km offshore.
The Cornish outfit said the zone has the potential to support the demonstration of wave arrays with a generating capacity of up to 30MW for each project.
