BayWa has expanded its presence in the global wholesale solar market by registering new businesses in France, The Netherlands, Poland and Thailand.
The German services company said the expansion was partly driven by growing public confidence in the wider renewables sector.
In France, for instance, the company is expecting the country’s solar market to experience double-digit growth this year.
“It’s part of a global trend,” BayWa r.e managing director Günter Haug said.
Thailand, meanwhile, has become a more attractive market since it endeavored to meet 25% of power demand with renewable energy sources by 2021, Haug said.
