Germany utility developer EnBW is preparing to bid for the 700MW Hollandse Kust Zuid 1&2 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.
The company has founded a local subsidiary in preparation for a tender which kicks off next month, according to reports from Reuters.
In its home market, EnBW is currently preparing to build the 609MW Hohe See/Albatros wind farm and won the rights to build the 900MW He Dreiht on a subsidy-free basis next decade.
The Dutch government has invited subsidy-free bids in its initial tender for the zone. If none come forward it will hold a more traditional auction next year.
