Ofgem has appointed Transmission Capital Partners as the preferred bidder to own and operate the high-voltage transmission link at the 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the Norfolk coast of the UK.
Transmission Capital Partners is a consortium comprising Transmission Capital Partners Limited Partnership and International Public Partnerships Limited.
It was selected by Ofgem as the preferred offshore transmission owner (OFTO) following a tender.
Dudgeon is the first project to reach this stage in the £2bn fifth OFTO round.
The wind farm has been developed by a consortium of Masdar, Statoil and Statkraft, which currently owns the link.
Dudgeon consists of 67 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines and was officially opened earlier this week.
