A review panel at the Environmental Protection Administration in Taiwan has recommended approval of the environmental impact assessment for Orsted’s 2.4GW Greater Changhua offshore wind projects.
The recommendation for the paves the way for final environmental permit approval early next year, according to local news reports.
The Greater Changhua projects include four sites located 3km to 60km off the coast of Changhua in Taiwan.
Orsted aims to start onshore construction in 2019 for the projects.
