Orsted has completed the sale of a 50% stake in the 450MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea to Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP).
The Danish company, formerly known as Dong Energy, said the acquisition price will be paid in 2017, and the EPC contract payments will be made during 2017 and 2018.
Orsted said it now expects full-year EBITDA to come to about Dkr21bn (€2.8bn), compared with Dkr19-Dkr21bn previously.
Borkum Riffgrund 2 will consist of 56 MHI Vestas V164 8MW turbines and is scheduled to be fully commissioned in 2019.
