Global Wind Service (GWS) has installed the last of 57 Vestas 3.45 MW turbines at the Bearkat 1 wind farm in Texas, its first full installation job in the US.
The V126 machines at the 197.6MW facility are currently being energised and commissioned. The wind farm is owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
GWS was awarded the installation contract by crane company KranWind.
GWS area manager Michael Nielsen said: “We are very pleased to have been working on this project in partnership with KranWind, and are looking forward to more US projects in the future.”
