Siemens Gamesa is to supply turbines totalling 281MW to the Nordlicht wind farm in Norway.
The order is for supply and installation of 67 SWT-DD-130 4.2MW machines – 47 on the Kvitfjell mountain and 21 on the Raudfjell mountain near Tromso.
The deal also includes a long-term service agreement.
Asset manager Prime Capital will manage the wind farm on behalf of project investors, which includes German pension fund Ärzteversorgung Westfalen-Lippe.
Siemens Financial Services Division is also supporting the project, while grid connection and energy transmission technology will be provided by the Siemens Energy Management Division.
Siemens Gamesa onshore chief executive Ricardo Chocarro said: “We are proud to install the Nordlicht wind power plant since since Norway is an important wind market with excellent wind conditions and appropriate sites.”
