Peikko Sverige has won a contract to build foundations for the first phase of GE and GIG’s 650MW Markbygden wind farm in Sweden.
The deal covers 16 structures and includes a reinforcement package of rebar coupling systems and punching and shear reinforcement.
Peikko is also responsible for the foundation design and structural calculations.
The project is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2019.
In total, it will consist of 179 GE 3.6-137 turbines with hub heights of 131.4 metres.
