Vestas has received an order for turbine components totalling 40MW for an unnamed client and wind farm in the US.
The components qualify for 80% of the Production Tax Credit value, the Danish manufacturer said.
Vestas US sales and service division president Chris Brown said: “This order underscores that wind is the low-cost energy of choice for consumers and companies that will deliver millions of dollars in economic growth and jobs to American communities.
“Each American-made turbine manufactured supports 30 jobs over the course of its lifetime.”
