French renewable energy industry association SER has set up an international division to help the country’s clean power sector to further develop in overseas markets.
The so-called International Commission will be headed by Eric Scotto, who is also president and co-founder of renewables developer Akuo Energy.
Scotto said that the renewables potential outside France’s borders was enormous.
“The International Commission will work on a collective approach to international markets, together with the private sector but also with institutional and financial partners,” he said.
SER has 380 members employing about 100,000 people and with an overall turnover of €10bn.
