GE Renewable Energy has installed wind turbines with total capacity of more than 60GW across 36 countries around the world.
The company said it reached the milestone following the commissioning of large projects in North America, Romania, Spain and Turkey, which brought the total number of installed turbines to over 36,000.
GE has installed over 10GW in Europe and expects this figure to grow to 13GW by the end of 2019.
GE onshore wind business president and chief executive Pete McCabe said “This milestone is a testimony to our commitment to the wind industry, which is continuing to grow globally.
“We’re looking forward working closely with our partners and customers to keep increasing the wind energy share in the overall energy systems globally.”
