First Solar has signed two deals in the US to supply photovoltaic modules totalling 795MW to Origis Energy USA and DE Shaw Renewable Investments.
A three-year contract has been secured with Origis Energy USA for Series Four and Six modules totalling 595MW.
First Solar will deliver the Series Four units in 2017 and 2018, followed by Series Six models in 2019 and 2020.
The modules will used at a variety of solar projects that Origis is developing in the US.
Origis Energy chief investment officer Samir Verstyn said: “This alliance with First Solar fulfills the site and schedule commitments we have made to the market in the foreseeable future.”
DE Shaw has secured a contract for Series Six modules with a combined capacity of 200MW for delivery in 2019.
First Solar also signed operations and maintenance contracts for two projects that DE Shaw is developing.
The terms of all the deals have not been disclosed.
