Chinese outfit CRRC Zhuzhou Electric is to supply generators for Senvion’s 3.7M144 turbine platform, under a strategic framework contract signed by the two companies.
Under the terms of the contract, CRRC will provide a minimum of 50% of generators for the 3.7M144 unit, at least 100 pieces in the next three years, Senvion said.
Senvion chief executive Jürgen Geissinger said the deal will help the company meet the “next step of our goals”.
CRRC is one of the largest traction equipment and wind power generator manufacturers in China, Senvion added.
