Developer EnBW has formally opened its 13.2MW Bühlertann wind farm in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, but has abandoned plans for three other wind farms in the region.
The project features four Vestas V126 turbines with 149-metre hub heights and rotors of 126 metres.
Construction kicked off in November last year, while commissioning started in June.
However, EnBW will not develop the Inneringen, Atzenberger Höhe and Ehninger Westen projects because of low wind yields and bird protection issues, the developer said.
In total the projects would have featured up to 11 turbines.
The company has also downscaled the Veringenstadt project to one turbine from three.
