Vestas has secured an order for turbines totalling 51MW for an unspecified wind farm in Liaoning province in China.
The deal with an unnamed but “longstanding customer” is for 23 V110-2.0MW machines optimised to 2.2MW.
Delivery and commissioning are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2018.
The contract also includes an Active Output Management 4000 service contract.
Vestas China president Kebao Yang said: “This is our fourth order in Liaoning province in less than two years, which underlines our progress in Northeastern China through a strong focus on building customer relationships and the right wind energy solutions.”
Meanwhile, the company has also signed a conditional agreement to supply hardware totalling at least 300MW to an unnamed project.
The Danish manufacturer did not reveal any details of the prospective client, geographic location of the project or the turbine model.
It added that “if and when the project translates into a firm and unconditional order” it will disclose more details.
