Dutch contractor Ballast Nedam is returning to the renewables sector, almost two years after it sold many of its offshore assets to concentrate on housing and mobility markets.
The company said it was once “again presenting itself in the market for sustainable wind energy” both on- and offshore, as well as solar.
Ballast Nedam director Arno Uiterweerd said the first international partnerships and construction agreements for renewables have been signed, without elaborating further.
He said: “Twenty-five years ago we were the first to build an offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.
“We are now expanding this strong base with solar parks and onshore wind farms.”
The company will be showcasing its services at the WindEurop 2017 conference and exhibition in Amsterdam next week.
