EDF Renewable Services has started full operations and maintenance work at the 146MW Bolero solar plant in Chile.
The facility is located in the Atacama Desert in the Antofagasta region of the country.
Bolero is jointly owned by EDF EN Chile and Marubeni and sells electricity on to the Chilean spot market.
The plant has a single axis tracking system supplied by Exosun and NexTracker, with the solar panels provided by Jinko Solar and Canadian Solar.
EDF Renewable Services vice president of business development Dalen Copeland said: “We are excited to announce this expansion of O&M business into South America.
“We are confident our extensive experience and resources, operating 13GW worldwide alongside the EDF Energies Nouvelles Group, will ensure the long-term performance of this project.”
