Bibby Marine Services vessel Wavemaster 1 has started work supporting construction of Innogy’s 336MW Galloper wind farm off the coast of Suffolk in the UK.
The service operations vessel is due to spend at least three months at Galloper, where James Fisher has chartered it for winter commissioning work at the project’s substation and 56 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines.
WaveMaster1 will house some 40 technicians for four-week stints offshore.
The charter could be extended until the Spring, before Wavemaster 1 sails for a North Sea oil and gas job in April.
