TUV SUD has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with several Taiwanese organisations to collaborate on offshore wind research, testing and certification activities.
The Taiwanese signatories to the MoU are the Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC), CR Classification Society, Electronics Testing Center, Taiwan Electronic Research and Testing Center and Taiwan Institute of Economic Research.
The MoU will build on a three-year offshore wind training and technology project that ended in August, TUV SUD said.
MIRDC vice president Chia-Min Wei said: “Our partnership with TUV SUD is helping us to achieve our aim of rapidly building our own body of expertise and drive the expansion of Taiwan’s offshore wind energy industry.”
