A fund managed by Tortoise Capital Advisors has acquired solar assets totalling 33MW in New York state from Kenyon Energy and its affiliate Sun Financial.
The projects will supply electricity to various university and municipality customers in the US state, the fund manager said.
Tortoise Energy Infrastructure Fund portfolio manager and president Matthew Sallee said: “We view renewable energy as an increasingly critical component of the energy value chain and we have an experienced team focused solely on private renewable energy and infrastructure investments.”
Kenyon Energy’s Hugh Tarpley said: “We look forward to our continuing relationship with Tortoise to develop and finance numerous of our projects.”
