Developer ABO Wind has chosen Siemens Gamesa as preferred supplier for seven planned onshore wind farms to be tendered in Germany over the next two years.
The Wiesbaden-based company will install 31 Siemens Gamesa machines at the projects in Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Brandenburg, if it is successful in the auctions.
The deal is expected to include geared and direct-drive turbines, such as SWT-DD-142 and G132 models with capacity between 3.5MW and 4.3MW.
Hub heights will be up to 165 metres.
ABO Wind aims to implement the projects by 2020.
