Revenue was up 16% at Good Energy in the first half of 2017 to £52m (€57m), compared with £44.8m in the same period last year.
The increase was mainly down to the growth in electricity supply to business customers, the company said.
However, gross profit and earnings were both down in the period on the first six months of 2016.
Gross profit in the first half of the year was £14.4m, down from £14.8m in 2016, while earnings were £4.7m compared with £6.0m last year.
Good Energy said several factors contributed to the fall, such as postponing a price rise until after the winter and lower margins from the larger volumes sold to business customers.
The company said it has shifted away from developing renewable energy assets and expects to see continued growth in electricity sales.
