A total of 80 companies have prequalified to take part in Mexico’s third renewable energy auction, according to the country’s National Energy Control Centre (CENACE).
Bidders will compete to sign long-term power purchase contracts with the Federal Electricity Commission.
CENACE said the offers from prequalified companies represent projects that could generate over 1.4GW of electricity.
The auction is scheduled to take place on the 22 November.
