Banks Renewables will take delivery later this week of the first turbine components for its 15MW Moor House wind farm in the UK’s northeast.
The developer has been working with lead contractor Hall Construction to prepare the site near Barmpton for the construction of six 2.5MW turbines.
Banks said tower sections will arrive on site in early September, with blades and hubs scheduled to arrive at Teesport in mid-September for delivery via the A66, A1150 and Bishopton Lane.
Deliveries will continue until mid-October, the company added.
Construction of the first turbine is set to start in mid to late September.
The £17.5m project is scheduled to common online early in the new year.
Banks will release details in the autumn on how local groups can benefit from the wind farm’s £750,000 community fund.
Banks Renewables community relations manager Lewis Stokes said: “The Moor House site is now fully prepared for the start of construction work, and we’re excited at the prospect of seeing the turbines rise from the ground.”
