Vaisala subsidiary 3Tier India is ramping up operations in India to meet growing demand in wind and solar energy markets.
The company aims to double its Indian team by the end of 2017 and has already relocated to larger headquarters in Bangalore to support the expansion.
“This investment will enable Vaisala to increase its regional sales and production capabilities, further enhancing its end-to-end resource risk management services for Indian renewable energy developers, operators and investors,” the company said.
Vaisala provides weather data, energy due diligence, measurement equipment and operational services to the renewable energy sector.
3Tier India managing director Rajni Umakanthan said: “The Indian solar and wind sectors are growing more competitive day by day, which in turn is underlining the value of the services we bring to the market.
“Expanding the capacity and capability of our Bangalore office will ensure that we continue to meet the demands of stakeholders throughout the value chain for reliable data and analysis.”
