DEME Group susidiary Tideway has selected Turbine Transfers to supply four crew transfer vessels to the 396MW Merkur wind farm in the German North Sea.
The Welsh company said the order, which includes two semi-Swath vessels, will commence later in the year.
Located about 45km north of the Borkum islands, Merkur will consist of 66 GE Haliade 150 6MW turbines.
Offshore cable works are expected commence later this year, ahead of the project’s planned completion by the end of 2018.
