ODE, Canada’s Northland Power and Singapore’s Yushan Energy have hosted an event in the UK for a delegation of Taiwanese civic and industry leaders keen to learn more about the economic benefits of offshore wind farms.
The delegation, led by the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association, was told of how Vattenfall’s 150MW Ormonde wind farm (pictured) in the Irish Sea had impacted the Barrow community where the event was held.
They also visited the project’s operations support base, before travelling offshore to view the actual wind farm.
ODE, the lead engineering contractor on Ormonde, is also involved in the 1.2GW Hai Long project off Changhua County, being developed by Northland Power and Yushan Energy.
