French developer EDF Energy Renewables will next week exchange the gearbox on a turbine at its 62MW Teesside offshore wind farm off the UK’s north-east coast.
Ziton jack-up Wind Server will be used to carry out the work on one of the project’s 27 Siemens Gamesa 2.3MW machines.
Wind Server is expected to arrive on Tuesday and will take about four days to complete the work.
EDF said that the work was part of routine maintenance.
