Spanish solar module manufacturer Tamesol is partnering with Arevo to supply panels for photovoltaic projects up to 37MW in Turkey.
The initial agreement is for 130,000 TM-Series modules, which will be brought into the ports of Mersin, Istanbul and Izmir.
Negotiations between the two companies are ongoing with the aim of reaching 80MW of installed capacity by the end of the year, and potentially increasing to 180MW in 2018.
Tamesol, part of the Solar International Group, said: “Turkey is one of the European countries that has strong anti-dumping security measures in place for panels coming from China, and that’s exactly the reason why we’ve been selected as the main alternative in the country.”
