VBMS has awarded Tekmar Energy a contract to supply cable protection systems (CPS) for ScottishPower Renewables’ 714MW East Anglia 1 offshore wind farm off the UK’s Suffolk coast.
Tekmar will supply its TekLink CPS, bellmouths and cover disks for the project, which will feature 66kV array cables supplied by JDR.
Tekmar chief executive James Ritchie said: “Not only is East Anglia the second UK Round 3 project we have worked on, it’s also the second 66kV cable project we have worked on which puts Tekmar at the forefront of cable protection on these new and innovative large scale projects of the future.”
East Anglia 1 will feature 102 Siemens 7MW turbines.
