Ampelmann has launched a new gangway for personnel transfer between vessels and offshore structures, such as wind turbines.
The Dutch outfit said the A-type enhanced performance unit provides clients with 10% greater workability in sea states of up to four-metre significant wave height.
The gangway features an advanced motion compensation control system that improves operational up-time, Ampelmann said.
It can also be used on small vessels, where larger ships had been needed previously, the company added.
